Today, Costa Rica inaugurates its Innovation Hub (Centro de Innovación Financiera), in which all six financial regulation agencies participate. The project was sponsored by the Inter-American Development Bank under the leadership of Diego Herrera and designed by me. The Innovation Hub is an important step forward in the regulatory integration of new technologies in the financial system in the country. Congratulations to Andrea Oconitrillo who will be the leader of the Centro. It has been a pleasure to work with an incredible talented team: Reyner Brenes, María Lucía Fernández, Cristian Vega, Yorleny Avendaño, Pamela Méndez and Gerardo Porras. See: www.cif.cr

Front pageFriday was an important day for the financial sector in the Dominican Republic: the launch of the nation-wide Innovation Hub. For the first time in history all financial authorities Banco Central, Superintendencia de Bancos,Superintendencia del Mercado de Valores de la República Dominicana,Superintendencia de Pensiones,and Superintendencia de Seguros join this Hub that operates as a single entity; https://lnkd.in/degzqp-m. The effort was led by IADB lead Diego Herrera and designed by me. Thanks to a fantastic team on the ground who did an immense job: Fabiola Herrera, Angel Gonzalez, Yanelva Grassals, Greilyn Lora, Manuel Eugenio Rodríguez, Inés Páez, Claudia Pichardo, José Pantaleon, Frankely Almanzar, Priscilla Montas, Víctor Pérez, Francisco Campos, Arianny Perez and many more.
