KOMPAS.com - Kemunculan bank digital di Indonesia semakin marak dengan memunculkan berbagai promo menarik untuk gaet nasabah baru. Pengertian bank digital adalah berbeda dengan bank yang memiliki layanan digital.

Bank digital adalah otomatisasi layanan perbankan konvensional. Apa itu bank digital memungkinkan nasabah bank untuk mengakses produk dan layanan perbankan melalui platform elektronik atau online.

Dengan mempromosikan masyarakat tanpa uang tunai, contoh bank digital membatasi peredaran uang hitam karena pemerintah dapat melacak pergerakan dana. Dalam jangka panjang, apa itu bank digital diharapkan dapat menurunkan permintaan pencetakan uang.

Dengan terbentuknya ekosistem, diharapkan nasabah apa itu bank digital akan membuka rekening bank dan melakukan berbagai transaksi di rekening itu.

Pada prinsipnya bank digital adalah bank tanpa layanan kantor cabang, tanpa layanan ATM. Semua transaksi dilakukan secara online melalui telepon seluler. Karena bank digital berusaha membentuk ekosistem, penting sekali mempunyai sistem teknologi yang terkoneksi dengan sejumlah pihak agar terjadi interkoneksi dan interoperabilitas.

Saat ini contoh bank digital telah banyak bermunculan di Indonesia seperti Jenius dari Bank BTPN pernah populer tahun 2016 lalu, SeaBank, Bank Jago, dan Bank Neo Commerce.

Pada awal kemunculannya, contoh bank digital ini menawarkan berbagai promo menarik, misalnya suku bunga tinggi, gratis biaya admin dan transfer, hingga hadiah setiap berhasil mengajak satu nasabah baru.

Kendati demikian, perbankan konvensional juga tidak tinggal diam, beberapa bank konvensional ikut menjajakan layanan apa itu bank digital, seperti Digibank (DBS), TMRW (UOB), dan D-Save (Danamon).
